Recently I've gotten somewhat obsessed with watching movies. I've blew through to movies yesterday (Limitless and The Grey, both great) and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for things to watch. I'm not partial to any genre, but i'd prefer stuff that's streamable on netflix. So yep, any favorites, classics, and so on so forth. Just though it would be nice to see peoples taste in movies.

Looks like we're the total opposite, I absolutely hate watching movies.

Well, the only movies that I have watched that haven't bored me are...

Alien and Aliens. (I highly recommend not watching the third one. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen.)
The Avengers. (If you haven't seen this, good God...)
Ted. (If you like Family Guy, you'll love this.)
Happy Gilmore. (Another good Comedy.)
Saving Private Ryan. (Amazing. Nuff' Said.)
Pulp Fiction. (Even more amazing. Nuff' Said.)

These are the movies I like, your tastes may be different. I don't know if any of those are streamable on NetFlix, but from somebody who dislikes watching movies as much as I do, it's saying something. :p

The only movie I've seen on the list was Avengers, What a great movie. I've heard great things about Ted and pulp fiction. I absolutely need to see Saving Private Ryan. I've seen bits I've Happy Gilmore, I need to see it all at one point. Not sure about Aliens though, never been a fan of those kinds of movies.

Sin City is on Netflix, as is The Sixth Sense. It's been a while since I was subscribed to Netflix, so I can't really remember too many that were on there. I know it's not a movie, but watch Firefly, it is one of my favourite shows ever.

Off of Netflix I'd recommend all of the old Planet of the Apes movies, don't bother with the new ones. Tim Burton's 1989 Batman, ermahgerd Jack Nicholson. Shutter Island, Pulp Fiction, Oh My God Matt_The Dreamer, amazing choice, I absolutely love V for Vendetta. Alien, Aliens, The Last Samurai, but... above all others... Nightmare Before Christmas :p

Need to rewatch shutter island, saw it years ago half asleep. Sixth sense was incredible aswell. I need to see the old planet of the apes. The new one was great imo. Firefly is up there in series I want to see as well :)
