Optifine Problem

Hey guys a I need help badly. A few weeks ago I indtalled optifine with magiclauncher and I needed it to get more fps and a less laggy game but for some reason it made it lagg more and when I got rid of it it was better without it. I have no idea what happend so please help me. Did I maybie get the wrong version of optifine like I mean what is the best 1 to get e.g standard, classic, hd

Well the version you should get depends on your computer. If your computer isnt very good then get light or if it is average get standard, etc. If you have a bad computer and you get Ultra, your computer will struggle to run all of the settings. Also make sure that you edit the video settings in the menu. If you hover over each individual setting, a text box will come up telling you which option is faster and what it does.

Yeah, ultra is definitely not the right version for a computer that's already lagging bad, I learned this the hard way because I would constantly get ultra and my FPS was horrible. Try standard or light.
