A desert!

I hadn't seen any idea's for a desert map.. So here's what I had in mind. I'll work on this, and if you had any suggestions I'd appreciate them greatly!

Cornucopia
Positioned on the peak of a hill. The hill is covered with cactus which then leads into a cactus valley, great for the starting blood bath!

Map Composition
I was thinking of having huge sandstone monoliths with ancient ruins scattered about. Lava traps would be frequent along with random sand cave ins. (technically tripped by wooden pressure pads). There would be a huge salt lake, in the centre of which a high item scoring area. I'd put in Sand dunes, Oasis' and tonnes of cool deserty features! - and anything else that you suggest

Traps

• Pit falls
• Web slowers
• Lava traps
• 'sinking sand' aka sand falling into an empty space
• Puzzles

Heres a little map i just made to give an outline of what you should be expecting. I'd aprreciate some constructive critisism.

I voted no because there are atleast 2 in the making already and I personally hate desert ._. haha just a personal opinion of course i think all the aspects listed above would go well on just about any type of map!

I respect your opinion But you just gave me an extra idea haha. I won't make it just a desert, I will make it about 2/3rds desert (this is a large map) and 1/3 oasis'. So there will be many oasis' randomly placed around the map and the desert itself wouldnt be boring. Sure there will be the ocasional 'flat boring bit' but rest will be intricut with countless easter-eggs and goodies

Oh yeah mate, i'm currenty working on the Bukkit server so it should be up shortly. Do you know how to use Voxel Tools? Otherwise I can teach you how
