Minecraft game issue - items halfway off screen?

Can someone please tell me how to fix this? If you look at my sword, the top of it is off the screen. It's like this for every item. Please help me out, thank you.

I believe you need to update your resource pack to 1.8.

It has nothing to do with my texture pack.

Yeah I know the issue you're having currently.
My friend has the same problem, your monitor is a checked. You'll need to buy a new one to see your whole screen.
To explain this I'll show some screenshots:

This is your monitor;

And with this one you can see your whole screen/weapons etc;

Basically the screen resolution is not hd ;-;

Or you can go into %appdata% and go to .minecraft then options, and then finally where it says overrideWidth and overrideHeight and change the Width to 1290 and the height to 720, then when you open minecraft it'll be minimized but you should be able to see everything.
