Hi all. This has been bugging me for a week. Usually, I would get around 200ms, but now I am getting 400ms, even ranging to 800ms. I tried reinstalling Minecraft, cool my laptop and even tried playing Minecraft when my family members are not using the wifi. I ran many pathping commands , and so far I had not received a single packet loss. This had happened to me several times, but the issue would just magically go away in a few days. This issue would occur on MCSG and Badlion (US and NA respectively). I missed playing mcsg but I am worried that my messed up ping would ruin my stats. Can someone please kindly help me ( I use cable)

It may be because of your internet issues. Like if there is a storm around or its the end of your billing date usually your internet will slow down

If your internet has a cap of how many GBs per month then that might of been used and therefore your internet has been slowed down, usually to 128kb/s which is very slow.
You can try speedtesting your internet, just google that and see if it is spiking or if it is stable and check how your internet speed is.

As you can see here, my internet isn't spiking a lot which means less lag:

Test taken on speedtest.net :)

Other than I suggest trying out on different servers to see if it may be a server sided issue or if the issue is on your end (internet).

Hi, I think you should contact your Internet provider.
